My generation went to war in Vietnam, 58,000 of my brothers and sisters have had their names inscribed on a black granite wall. As sad as that is another 140,000 of my generation have perished as a result of Agent Orange Exposure and Suicide due to PTSD. What did we gain?
Will I see a peaceful world in my lifetime, I doubt it, but I have two fine young grandsons, please do not let them go where I have been, please do not let them see what I saw…..

My uncle, a proud Viet Nam vet, died a year ago this month at the age of 69 after suffering from Parkinson's for many years. I believe Agent Orange exacerbated his genetic predisposition to this horrible disease. I only wish peace had come in time to spare him. Thank you for mentioning the veterans in this space.
Beautiful Post!
You and Miss Bee have a terrific day Sarge.

I echo your wish. For my own children, for the grandchildren someday to follow. For all the children.
I wish you peace, today and every day.
Oh I, too, hope your grandsons and mine will never find themselves in the hell of war. No one knows better than you do what war is like. Peace to you and yours.
