Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), center, is welcomed by her fellow members of the the House of Representatives as she appears on the floor for the first time since her shooting earlier this year.
Even though I do not agree with the political views of this lady, I commend her for her tenacity, she is a fighter who faced overwhelming odds and made it back to the House of Representatives to cast the vote that put the debt limit bill over the top. I am not convinced that she made the correct vote, but Representative Giffords is an American Hero in my eyes.

I was reduced to tears when I saw her being welcomed by her peers. Familiar with the ravages of traumatic brain injury, she has overcome so much!

It's amazing that after all those days of negative fighting between Republicans and Democrats they finally got together and felt something good, the life of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords . Isn't it great that they all got together for a moment?

Even though she is a Democrat, I applaud the success story. She outlived the idiot.

A survivor of terrorism. What a beautiful story of a beautiful lady. We can all agree to that.
You don't have to agree with her politics to respect the travails that she has undergone. Blessings to her and her husband, who has been a huge support to her.

But really they can't make the major cuts they know they need to make until elections are over, like we are too stupid to see what they are all doing. We will just keep getting more and more credit until we end up beyond repair.

Political-ness aside, she's an inspiration to so many battling back from traumatic brain injuries. I wish she'd quit gov't and become an inspirational speaker. Just saying!
Her strength and determination are an inspiration...and most of us are fortunate to not know such a trial!
