Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- An 8 year-old boy was hanged by militants in Afghanistan's Helmand province after the boy's father -- a police officer in the southern city of Gereshk -- refused to comply with militants' demands to provide them with a police vehicle, officials said.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai condemned the hanging, saying "this action is not permitted in any culture or any religions," according to a statement Sunday, which provided details of the incident.

Taliban insurgents have been blamed for the recent hanging of an 8-year-old boy in Afghanistan. It isn't the first time such a killing has occurred, nor is it the first time the Taliban has been blamed. And the United Nations note an increase in violence in the first half of 2011 in Afghanistan as well.

These are just common criminals Sarge. The Taliban are just folks that need to be in prison for the rest of their lives. They are using religion as a shield. That's my two cents.

I had not heard this horrific story. What are we dealing with? An innocent child lost his life in the hands of terrorists......and the world thinks we are the bad guys. What do you say to that?
i think whenever it is that we leave the taliban will take over again, why are we there? another nam? so sad... they are so evil. i just don't know what to think.

Someone asked if there is a devil in hell. Well there is your answer. To hang a small 8 year old boy in front of his father is pure evil, the devil and there is a hell. The Taliban are pure evil. These men are devils in hell.
