For the past 50 years these smokestacks have been on the intracoastal waterway, Riviera Beach, Florida. These were part of our view from our condo balcony.

They are building an new gas fired power plant to replace the old coal fired plant.

Why? What was the reason? Okay I'm confused.
Have a terrific day Sarge. :)
I saw the demolition on the news... Wondered if it were nearby.
Natural gas sure beats coal, or nuclear, which scares the crap out of me for the planet.
I wish someone would get serious about wind-technology. It doesn't deplete natural resources or pollute the planet. It would be fabulous, assuming we don't run out of weather. :D
Big hugs xoxo
Implosions are always fun to watch and I have to say that the choreographed falling of the smokestacks was quite impressive.
Glad to hear you will have a nicer view.
Best to Bee.

Thanks for the heads up on those stacks. It will be strange having them gone.
Big hugs...
Thanks for explain this Sarge. I get it now. Much better than coal. :)
I'm with Barb on wind technology and wishing that more people would get on the band wagon with it - though of course then someone would start charging through the nose for that, too!
I'm sure your new view is going to be much, much better!
