Why Does Economic Freedom Matter?

True liberty requires economic freedom—the ability to profit from our own ideas and labor, to work, produce, consume, own, trade, and invest according to our own choices. Thomas Jefferson underscored that point when he observed that “a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement.”

Love the video. Right on the money. We can't all be takers. Someone has to do the work or we'll all be living off the government. Oh wait...I think that's what they want. I'm talking both sides of the aisle here.

I cannot abide this man or anything that comes out of his mouth. I have to turn off the TV when he's on. Just reading what he says is bad enough.

On to the Thomas jeffesrson quote.... I am pretty sure when he said that, American buisness men were not moving American businesses to India as fast as they could. I think if big business wants to continue paying ZERO in taxes, like they do now.... Then let's bring those 30 million factory jobs that went to Asia in the last twelve years back here. There used to pride in looking for the made in the USA label, now for some reason it's ok to buy Indian products as long as an American businessman gets rich and hides the money in the cayman islands so he has to pay no tax. In the mean time we will throw Medicare, something every American worker pays for every other Friday in the trash.
Very scary place you want to see us go pops... A place that we have been before....1774! I just hope people remember what Thomas Jefferson pushed for then!
And CommuBama, the leftmost man to ever inhabit the Oval Office, has the absolute audacity to call GOP proposals to cut spending "radical"?? I wake up every morning expecting to hear Rod Serling's introduction to the "Twilight Zone".
