Allen Bernard West (born February 7, 1961) is a Republican U.S. Representative from Florida's 22nd congressional district, serving since January 2011. He is the first African-American Republican Congressman from Florida since Josiah T. Walls in 1876.
West served in the Army in Iraq and was a civilian adviser in Afghanistan. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army electing to retire after an investigation of his conduct during the interrogation of a detainee in Taji, Iraq

It's amazing how a person even though he may not like the president talk like he does. I was brought up to respect even the person I may not like but at least don't disrespect the the office of my country.
I don't like the man who is my prime minister in Canada and but he is the Prime Minister of Canada and I show respect to what he is. Am I wrong feeling that way or has respect been thrown out of the window?

You miss the point Paul, Obama has no respect for the office, our constitution, and the laws he is sworn to uphold, how can I respect him?

Paul needs to understand that from our viewpoint, we don't disrespect the office - Obama does. He thinks he's a celebrity, not the head of the US. In my 63 years, having voted in every election, I've never felt so angry that the GOP can't run a decent candidate. Not that McCain isn't a decent man, but c'mon, president? And if they draft Romney I'm really gonna be pissed off.
I'm sorry. I don't mean to appear to understand the American way of politics. Maybe I'll just keep myself quiet from now. That way it won't get any people upset. Once again, I'm sorry if I have angered anyone.

I agree with the general opinion here. Obummer has NO respect for the Constitution, the office, the country, the military, or the people who put his tired ass in office.
I have always liked Allen West, he seems to have morals and ETHICS (remember those?)
