They did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin!
Plunge right through that line!
* Run the ball clear down the field,

The Wisconsin Republicans have been prevented from passing their financial reform package because they must have a super-majority quorum in the state legislature to pass financial matters. Part of the financial reform package was an end to collective bargaining on salary for public employees.

Consequently, the Wisconsin legislature got tired of the Democrats hiding in Illinois, three weeks now.

By an 18-1 vote, the Wisconsin Senate stripped collective bargaining from the financial package and passed it as a stand alone item. The portion of the financial package that the unions most objected to is now going to be the law without them present. They are, to say the least, upset.

It's funny how they never mention the states that have right-to-work laws.

No one, regardless of party affiliation, should ever LEAVE THE JOB over dissentions. If the governor had given in, the opposition would do it again and again. May all the states and parties learn from this debaucle.

Big hugs, honey...

Everyone of the Democrats should be fired and new ones elected. Anyone in the private sector that refused to show up for work would be fired...the government workers should be treated the same.

Lana is on to something here. I like it too. Fire all of them. I'm sure they have some loop-hole to do what they did. It's a great day for Wisconsin. This is what the majority wanted and they finally got what they wanted. Bravo.

Have a terrific day Sarge. Hope your treatment goes well and that the side effects are much less. Hugs to you both. :)

Howdy, Sarge. I always figured the Dems would one day end up on the lam.

I still say the Wisconsin Democrats who fled the state should be impeached and/or recalled.

Good for the Republicans to figure out how to get around this abuse of democracy.
