Ronald W. Reagan, American…….

40th-United-States-President-Ronald-Reagan-1911-to-20041-300x225

And proud of it……

A1-Propaganda-Piece

Even the left is trying to co-opt his greatness

He was denigrated as just an actor, a lightweight, an extremist and many other insults. And yet now he is revered by most including many on the left.

In his farewell address to the American people in January 1989, President Reagan said, “Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words, “We the people.”

We tell the government what to do, said the president, it doesn’t tell us. This simple and yet revolutionary idea of “We the people,” he explained, was the underlying basis for everything he had tried to do as President.

Needless to say, Ronald Reagan is one of my personal hero’s.  He gave me back the pride I felt in Military Service, a pride that had been stripped away by our abandonment of the Vietnamese People and our shameful treatment during the Carter years.  Everyone should be joyful that such a man lived, Ronald W. Reagan, a great American.

we are counting the days until Oblamer is out of the people's house.
He is a puppet for the far left and we have had enough already.

Huh....and here Republicans accuse the left of deifying and idolizing Obama. Well, just as Glenn Beck is a community organizer, hypocrisy in American politics has reared it's ugly face in regards to slavish adulation of Reagan.

I felt like I knew Ronnie personally, and I loved him dearly. I can't imagine me feeling that way about another President, but I'm hoping against the odds that one day I will.

Big hugs, Sarge. :]

President Reagan was in office when I was serving in the Air Force and I know that we all loved him in the Squadron that I was in at the time. He made it okay to be in the military again and gave us back a lot of pride that we had lost previously.

He wasn't perfect - no President is - and he's not my favorite as that spot is reserved for Abraham Lincoln but I have always admired and respected the man. And respect goes a long, long ways towards being a successful President - without it, you're done for in that office. It's hard to get, it's harder to keep, but it's vitally important.

Reagan had respect for the office, and for the people. He was a true patriot who loved this country. May he rest in peace...his is a good legacy. He was an extraordinary man.

Big hugs, honey...

Hey, Sarge. Comparing Obama to Reagan is like comparing the horse's ass to the horse.
