My immediate reaction was to tell Matt what a Jerk he is, but then after some thought I realized his dilemma, as a liberal he has no one to be proud of. Take Obama, please, the man has destroyed our economy in 1/2 of his only term. In the midterm elections Republicans gained 63 seats, the most for any party since 1948. With Bill Clinton they said, “Its the economy stupid,” this year it should have been “Its the President Stupid.”
Sorry Matt, even though Bill Clinton was successful as President he was a total failure in the his personal life, I suppose you would be proud of that.
Jimmy Carter, lost his reelection bid in the biggest landslide in the history of our country. Not much to celebrate there.
I should not be so hard on you Matt, you walk among losers…….

I often wondered about the problems with the Republicans vs the Democrats. It was basically because they say about the same thing but in a different way. When President Bush was in office the opposition would say how stupid Bush was and the money that you lost because of him and now that President Obama is on office guess what? The same is being said about him, how stupid he is and because he's lost so much money for the country. Realistically, both parties must love one another because they say the same thing about each other. Thank God I've got my problems in Canada and the parties in my country. We both have fantastic countries, parties, leaders and fantastic people who love and care about freedom.I know one thing Charlie, I care and love about you and Bee.

You know Sarge, I am an Alabama Fan. We Bama Fans love Bear Bryant like he was our deceased grandfather. We just won't let the memory of that man die. That's why I TOTALLY get the continued devotion to Ronald Reagan.
I think that is what happens with greatness - the grave just can't hold it nor can it stop a man from continuing to be great. Love and respect live forever. Reagan is, and most likely will always be, my favorite president.
As always Sarge, you are in my prayers. I hope that you and Miss Bee have had a nice weekend.
What I love the most about this country is that I have the freedom to speak my peace. No matter what side of the aisle you may be on, I will always respect your right to say it. As well, I may not like the President at the moment,but I will always respect the office that he/she holds.
With that all said...Matt-Man, you're an a**hole. Show some respect for the office and more importantly, for the dead.

I was merely pointing out the fact that Reagan is no longer among us. I wasn't sure if you knew that or you were perhaps hoping for some type of Lazarus Effect that would resurrect him.
And seriously dude...I don't walk among losers. I walk my own path but also includes a wonderful girlfriend, a great family, an ex whom I get along with for the most part because our priority is one fan-damn-tastic 16 year old boy.
My ideology is my own and doesn't come from histrionic morons like Olbermann, Maddow, Hannity, or Beck and others like them.
And...I belong to no party nor any monolithic platform of beliefs. So, well...there ya go.

I dig Tea Party boy Sen. Rand Paul calling for an end to all Foreign Aid, includng all foreign aid to Israel. That man has his head on straight.
I do not want to disrespect the dead, but I can not call any president since I was born great. Nixon was a criminal, Ford let him go. Carter destroyed the economy, and so did Bush Sr. Clinton fixed the economy but couldn't keep it in his pants. Bush Jr undid everything good that Clinton did, and the idiot in there now is LOSER! Which leaves Reagan, if not for one thing I think I could label him a great president, he showed no honor in ordering one of his soldiers to violate federal law and leaving him out to dry. Let's forget about selling Iran missiles that are pointed at Isreal, the commander in chief sold out his soldier who operated on his order. That is NOT greatness!
Here's my idea of the perfect politican; they have an idea and commit to it. If it succeeds they stand up and don't congratulate them selves but point out the next challenge. Today's politicians congratulate themselves for their failures instead of saying they were wrong. THIS is the reason I have little or no interest in the political process. I reiterate my longstanding opinion of politics, it's not an election it's an erection because we get screwed either way.
You missed a few details in your history Chuck, Nixon did break the law and he paid a big price, Ford pardoned him because a criminal trial would have coused a larger divide in our country, you give clinton for the results of Reagan's tax policy. the rest of your rant is very uninformed.
Nixon, conspiracy to cover up a crime, is a crime... Makes him a criminal (or at least I would have been convicted). Also I know relive like to take credit for the prosperity during the Clinton years, except when he took office we were in a major recession due to the tax policies of mr no new taxes.
