First, he put his butt on the line to protect his troops, he fired his pistol near the head of an enemy soldier, acquired information form that soldier that saved American lives turned himself in for his action, retired, won a seat in Palm Beach County, now he intends to protect the people. Has to do with character, Matt Man would not understand that.

The problem with our 'leadership' is that they are politicians and/or lawyers, and as we all know most of them are incapable of speaking plainly or embracing Truth.
They're all quite adept in double-speak and rhetoric. They are trained to litigate. To successfully litigate they need to win an argument; to convince their audience of their position. Unfortunately, winning an argument doesn't necessitate actually being right or need to have anything to do with the Truth or Understanding things as they truly are.
They can smile and make a bucket of poop sound pretty and convince the masses that we need that. They can also also make a bed of roses sound ugly and perverse. You can't fix something you can't even say, not that they are actually trying to fix it. Most of them are in it for notoriety, the power and then eventually, the book tours.
We need real Leadership. And fast!
