When you’re the “leader of the opposition,” you’ve got a target on you at all times; you’ll be under attack day and night. And El Rushbo is cool with that—it means he’s doing his job.

Limbaugh has been putting the lie to liberal arguments and policies for decades, earning a handsome sum along the way. And if there’s one thing liberals hate more than the truth about their agenda being exposed, it’s people who make money by exposing that agenda.

Rush’s army of nearly 20 million listeners is the biggest in the country, and they are engaged. He impacts political races across the country, and his work helps keep the Republican Party in touch with its conservative base.

Of course, the real root of the hatred for Rush is that, without him, there is no conservative talk radio as we know it today.  His is the voice that launched a thousand stations, and now right-wing talk is the top target of liberals, who are always looking to
shut down talk radio once and for all.

OK, OK, the Old Sarge will fess up, I have listened to Rush Limbaugh since the late 1980’s, I did work for a living and his show was noon to three, therefore I missed out on a lot of his wisdom.

The left has been unable to beat or even compete with him on ideas, so they lie about  him calling him a bigot, raciest, homophobe, fat blob.  Anyone who hears he radio show knows it is a lie in all cases.

I personally take exception to the caption, it is not Obama’s America as he thinks it is, it is our America and we will be taking it back starting this November and continuing through November 2012.

Obama protecting Arizona……..

Yep, our president has stepped up to his job of protecting the citizens of Arizona.  His solution to the drug and human trafficking problem, he posted a sign……

 

How many jobs did he save or create with this project?

His solution is to surrender a strip of Arizona to the bad guys, the bottom 80 miles of the state.

Maybe he should also surrender Key West, it is only 90 miles from Cuba.

Most disturbing, the dismissal is part of a creeping lawlessness infusing our government institutions. Citizens would be shocked to learn about the open and pervasive hostility within the Justice Department to bringing civil rights cases against nonwhite defendants on behalf of white victims....Open contempt is voice for these types of cases. ~ J. According to Adams:

1) The dismissal of the Black Panther case "was motivated by a lawless hostility toward equal enforcement of the law."

2) Some in the Department "abetted wrongdoers and abandoned law-abiding citizens victimized by the New black Panthers.

3) Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Tom Perez "inaccurately" testified to the House Judiciary Committee

4) "Most corrupt of all, the lawyers who ordered the dismissal - Loretta King, the Obama-appointed acting head of the Civil Rights Division, and Steve Rosenbaum....

5) Some inside Justice say this is an isolated incident, but other similar cases happened at polling places in Philadelphia, including one targeting Hillary Rodham Clinton.  Adams says "the law clearly prohibits even isolated incidents of voter intimidation.

6) The evidence shows that voters were affected by intimidation, but even if it didn't, the law demands punishment of "an attempt."

7) Some co-workers argued the law should not be used against black wrongdoers because of the long history of slavery and segregation. "Some called it payback time."

You folks know I spent a lifetime defending this nation from enemies, foreign and domestic.  It appears to me that lately we have been ignoring our domestic enemies, it is obvious that justice is no longer available to some Americans.

Long after her 2008 run to be vice president ended, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is continuing to make political waves.

As a favorite of grassroots conservative tea partiers, Palin has used her star power to bring attention to various underdog candidates and issues facing voters this fall. As a conservative working woman and dedicated mom, Palin’s anti-feminist brand of feminism has redefine the scope of “women’s issues” and shed light on blatant liberal hypocrisy.

Though try as they might to silence her—with attacks on everything from her outspoken criticism of the current administration to her bra size—Palin is a light that will not be snubbed out. Much to the chagrin of the liberal elites and leftist reformists, Palin’s down-to-earth independence, patriotic spirit and no-nonsense can-do attitude will only continue to propel her popularity.

The left has done all it could to destroy Sarah Palin, but was their effort to no avail.  She has star power, she can fire up a voters, the left looks at her as an air-head, wrong, Sarah Palin is gorgeous, smart, religious, high achiever and courageous.

And that is why she made #2 on the most hated list……..

Yellow Bellied Sapsucker of Week Award

Who will be in the hot seat this week, there are lots of sapsuckers to choose from but my choice for the first week of the restart of this series was suggested by both Miss Bee and Sandee after I announced that I would bring this series back from the archives of Sarge Charlie……..

AND THE WINNER IS: BP, aka British Petroleum and a latter day promotional name, Beyond Petroleum.

The takeoff on the name Beyond Petroleum is a promotional name they adopted to promote the company, to say the very least, the timing sucks, BP now stands for 'bad promotion'

The Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded off the coast of Venice, Louisiana on April 20. 115 of the 126 workers were rescued. Two days later, the rig collapsed. Since then, an estimated 13 million gallons of oil have leaked into Gulf.

What have they done to the Gulf off Mexico and beyond? Even of the east coast of Florida we fear the Oil will be picked up in the Gulf Stream and spread through the Florida Keys and along the west coast of the United States and on to Europe.

THE GULF STREAM, A NATURAL CURRENT THAT FLOWS IN THE OCEAN

Five states are now suffering because of the BP spill. Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi are hit by oil slicks that are devastating their fisheries and tourism. Texas is a casualty along with the others because the drilling moratorium that was poorly designed by Obama's team was created out of a political response.

How long will the effects last? This journey has only just begun. In a time where no one is sure how or what to do in this situation, the one thing certain, is that this can only end badly.

Return of the Sapsucker

Yep, I was digging through all the rubbish in the archives of Sarge Charlie and stumbled across an old friend.  This will become a new weekly feature on this Blog, I will honor the weeks winner with……………

Their very own, rubber chicken.

As I recall, I got carried away with this and it became a daily post, this time I am going to limit it to the worst of the worst, the categories will include but not limited to stupidity, ignorance, and arrogance.

You will notice that I have added the Sapsucker to my sidebar.  Readers may feel free to submit names that you think should get the award.  I know, Matt Man cannot be the sapsucker week after week.

Starting to understand Matt Man

Many times in the past, my ?????, Matt Man has accused me an others like me of being Glenn Beck wannabes and I really never understood that to be an insult.  I knew it had to be, considering the source…….. 

 

 

NUMBER ONE

GLENN BECK

Glenn Beck has been doing his thing for years. He’s had a growing radio audience of  millions as the third-most-listened-to host in America, and he has never shied way from expressing his love of country (it’s why he gained the reputation for crying on the air) and his disdain for liberal policies that run counter to everything our nation was founded on.

It wasn’t until the last couple of years that the rabid hatred of Beck went mainstream. What happened?

On Jan. 19, 2009, just in time to counter the progressive agenda of the Obama administration that would be sworn in the next day, Beck launched his Fox News Channel (FNC) show. Though he had been on CNN’s Headline News since May 2006, doing a very similar show, it took joining the Fox News family for Beck to really gain the ire of the Left—as long has he was on a low-rated cable channel that also happened to share the ultimate liberal agenda, they felt they could at least co-exist with the conservative talker.

But it wasn’t just Beck’s joining the Democrats’ most-hated network that has driven liberals to hysteria and resulted in some sort of mental condition that causes them to go into conniption fits at the mere mention of his name in even casual conversation. (Just try uttering the words “Glenn Beck” within earshot of your favorite—or least favorite—leftist and see what happens.)

No, it’s more than Beck becoming one of Roger Ailes’ minions—much more. It’s also about more than the fact that he has a massive radio and TV audience of millions.  Beck’s real sin is that he has successfully combined his concern for the direction of this country—a direction currently being dominated by progressives who hate what America has been—with a powerful defense of American exceptionalism and a passion for the Founding Fathers and the system of government and nation they created to produce a show that both educates and entertains.  (Seriously, not just anybody can get Americans riled up about Woodrow Wilson and launch F.A. Hayek’s “Road to Serfdom” to the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s best-seller list.)

Americans—Democrats and Republicans, young and old, those who’ve been political for ages and those who are just beginning to get engaged—now truly sense the threat to the American way of life that the radical Left’s agenda poses. They hadn’t realized it before—both because they had never seen such an extremely progressive, uber-liberal, revolution-loving president and because they had either forgotten or never learned the real history of the United States.

Thanks to Beck, Americans are waking up to what our government is up to and are hungering for the real story of their nation—the one that the progressive movement, using the schools and universities, has tried to keep from them.  We are falling in love with our country again.

That is why the Left! hates him.

What the Old Sarge Thinks: 

From my point of view, if I do not like what I hear, I turn it off.

From the left’s point of view, if they do not like what they hear they want it turned off by government, no one is smart enough to know right from wrong.

I know they don’t teach History, have they stopped teaching Geography also?

Yes, I know you cannot fix stupid but……Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy West has some strong feelings about immigration. But she could use a lesson in geography

Now I got to tell you I only know one person from Wisconsin, the land of the “Cheese Heads” and this one person I know is not stupid, as a matter of fact he is very intelligent, therefore I can conclude that everyone in Wisconsin is not as stupid as this “Elected Official.”

McCain backs Kyl: Obama told other GOP senators that border security is conditioned on amnesty

Bull Shit, this man has gone over the top with this crap, he is sworn to protect and defend the citizens of the United States.  I know, his oath means nothing to him, he has only one motivation, permanent power for the Democratic Party.  It is his belief that these 12 or so million illegal's will register as democrats as soon as they are granted citizenship, maybe even before if he can arrange it.

Personally I think it is time to impeach this person, Joe Biden may be dumb but at least I think he would defend America from invasion.

I would like to suggest that the Governor of Arizona activate the Arizona National Guard and place them on duty at the Mexican boarder.  Let’s play tit for tat, how far is Obama willing to go?

Today an Old Friend stopped by and left the following comment.  Vinnie is a liberal and supporter of the President and shortly after the election he stopped coming to my blog because of the fact that I always express my point of view which I am sure offended him.

I was pleased that he stopped by and hope he will find his way back here often, you see Sarge Charlie is dedicated to what he believes and hopes to bring all my friends to the point that they agree with my point of view.

Well Mr Bond, I got to tell you your comment in no way reflects my point of view.  I did find fault with his takeover of GM and Chrysler.  Hugo Chavez would have done something like that but I do not expect it from an American President.  When he did that he rewarded his union friends by giving them a larger share of the companies while he really put the screws to the Bond Holders that had loaned money directly to these companies.  I assume you are aware that Bond holders are always first in line when a company fails and its assets are divided.  I wonder what will happen in days to come when a company wants to sell Corporate Bonds, I would not be interested.

If I had voted for him, I would be embarrassed…………

Do I blame the President for the oil spill, no.  BP has accepted responsibility and is picking up the cleanup cost.  I think you will have to admit that he has not one clue about how to clean up the mess.  He has been there for some photo ops but no ideas.

Last week Barack Obama told Politico that the BP oil spill was like 9-11–But, it’s been over 60 days since the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion and he’s only sent 20 of 2,000 US oil skimmer boats to the coast of Florida.  Senator George Le Mieux of Florida said that there are only 20 skimmer boats off the coast of Florida out of 2,000 available skimmer boats in the United States. Le Mieux says that Obama is afraid to move them to Florida because there won’t be any in place in case there is an oil leak somewhere else.

Holy crap, we have millions of gallons of oil in the Gulf, commit the equipment where it is needed, when it is needed, you can even go down and ride around on one of them someone will take your photo……….

There have been calls to bring in more skimmer boats for at least two weeks but they have been ignored.  Twenty two Countries have also offered to bring in their skimmer boats but the offer was declined.  Credit Big Government.com

Well, I feel safe now! If, God forbid, we were attacked again while BO is in office, what would he do? Would he send 1% of the firemen, policemen, EMTs, etc to ground zero? Would he also defend our country by mobilizing a whopping 1% of our military to neutralize the threat?
