The 111th Congress get outta here….

111th United States Congress

THE HOUSE OF REPRENSETIVES

DEMOCRATS………….255      REPUBLICANS………..179

For all the finger pointing and blaming Republicans for blocking bills, the numbers will not withstand any scrutiny.  The democrats could do as they please even if every republican voted no.

THE SENATE

DEMOCRATS……….59(actually 57 and one communist (Bernie Sanders) and one independent)     REPBULICANS 41

Again, the finger pointing will not hold water, all they needed to do was pick up one of the several north east RINOs to close debate and push their agenda on to the White House with no republican support.  Actually they had 60 votes until poor Teddy died.

The will of the American people was ignored for the past two years, did you know the 111th Congress ran up more debt than all of the prior 110 congresses combined.

Well, it is time for the 112th to take charge, personally, my hope is that they will flip the President the bird when he proposes more spending…………

Congressional Reform Act

1. Term Limits.
12 years only, one of the possible options below..
A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

2.  No Tenure / No Pension.
A
Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3.
Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the
Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

4.
Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.  Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11
The American people did not make this contract with
Congressmen.  Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in
Congress is an honor, not a career.  The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

I love a guy who will tell it like it is……..

How about this.. Average solder makes about $23000 and risks his life... Congressmen can't make more than that!

It's amazing Charlie that all politicians, Canadian and Americans all seem to arrange their own retirement packages and they're always gold plated. How come I couldn't arrange a pension just for me like they do. When it came time to raise my pay the government gave me 1% while they gave themselves a 10% increase. Life is tough, running for government is a life of leisure.

I'm still wondering why our COL in SS hasn't gone up in two years yet they vote themselves in a raise. The elitist bastards on all sides.

Reform Act sounds good to me, esp with the retirement, SS, raises and healthcare.
