The old sarge and his very good friend (1968/1969) Leonard (Chip) Soronen RIP-9/3/02.  I learned of his death through my blog apparently he did not find the miracle that I found in my life.  We were in Vietnam together.  I understand that he drank himself to death, so sad, rest in peace my friend, I will never forget.

I'm so very sorry Sarge. Some find the miracle and some don't. I'm sure glad you did.

Have a great day. :)

Sorry to hear about it, Sarge. Too many good guys bought the farm over there, even if it took some time for the count to finally reach 10.

So sorry, Sarge. I like the way Sandee said it: So glad you found the miracle. Just wish your buddy had, too.
~~~Blessings~~~
I'm so sorry. Viet Nam still hasn't been settled in so many lives. Blessings to you, today.
My father did the same thing, so I know first hand how this feels, and the chaos left behind. I am sad for Chip's family...and sure happy for YOURS.
Sending blessings and big hugs to you, my dear...
I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. My father-in-law was a crew chief (on some kind of bomber plane :P) in Vietnam and my husband has spent a lot of time in combat. I know when they hear of the death of a "brother" its heartbreaking. Those bonds you all make while at war are almost unexplainable.
What a sad ending to one's life but unfortunately it happens to so many it seems.
May your friend find peace in his eternal rest.
