“What an AWESOME moment,” Robert Rowe wrote. “If anyone can’t see the President and First Lady’s love for our nations troops, they must be dead or blind. May God Bless them ALL !” Richard Cruz wrote: “The look on that kid’s face says it all….”

And Shirley Lovely Fry added: “A President and First Lady who love their country and their country’s military.”

Thank you President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush for taking the time to show the appreciation that you, and the rest of us, feel for our fine men and women in uniform.

If you are not embarrassed, I will be embarrassed for you, you elected the worst president in our history.

I miss George and Laura. Except for one thing... I cringed every time he said "Nuc-ul-er". I can't figure out why no one on his staff told him it is Nuclear.

Big hugs, Sarge :)

I voted for Bush, but not for BO. I've never known a president that I agreed with 100% of what they did, but Bush was much better than BO.

The group in Washington are crating mass destruction as they go. I believe that has been their intent all along. Crazies in the 1st degree.

Have a terrific day Sarge. :)

Are those recent photos? Wow, GW looks so well-rested!

I do miss him. While I didn't agree with him 100% I think history will show that he was a great president.

I also think that history will show our current president one of, if not the worst...

:-(

Barb, nu-cu-lar is one of my peeves, too. Hubby does that as well.

I miss him. Sad we didn't realize how good we had it, until we see now how bad we've got it.

We had it so good back then...Two wars...high debt...lack of direction...Oh, Just like now. Nothing changes. Cheers!!

Nu-cu-ler is actually a correct pronunciation. same with real-a-tor.

Anyway, this kenyan fraud is the biggest disaster since the peanut farmer.

I just keep laughing to keep from crying

bonks Sargie

What a wonderful thing for he and Laura, too, and I bet our troops really appreciated it. Least ways they sure look like they did!

Obama's a hell of a lot worse than an embarrassment. He actually makes Jimmy look intelligent.

I was at the UFO at DFW the day after he was there. While those in charge knew they were coming, none of the volunteers were aware. It was a total surprise! They came in, did their thing, and left. No media, no speechifying, none of the "teachable moments" that our current President vainly indulges in. It was just two very grateful and gracious citizens supporting the men and women who serve.

I miss the 2001 through 2004 GWB, I don't miss the 2005 to 2008 GWB. I miss the CLASS and RESPECT GWB showed for the office of the President. I miss having someone in the most powerful position in the world, who actually DID believe in America.

Personally I was not a huge fan of GWB after the 2004 election. I voted for him because of the alternative. And had to do it again in 2008 (McCain vs Obama, no choice)

This particular instance (I posted on it too) GWB showed a large amount of class, and should be praised for it.

I do miss him, but I especially miss Laura Bush. She is my all time favorite First Lady.
