I would like to introduce you to Doctor Robert Green, Oncologist. He is the dude that is going to attack my demon. I first met Doctor Green in 2001 when I had Prostrate Cancer, he was not my doctor then, we saw him for a second opinion. He is very aggressive and that is just what the Old Sarge wants. PET scan was no fun and now I have to drink a lot and double flush when I pee, I am radio active. I hope to know more tomorrow.

The next phase starts today
The Empress and I have had 41 wonderful years together, and the Old Sarge is not done, I want all I got coming.
I do not know why I have this demon in my body but I got to tell you it has been kicking my butt. I have lost 35 pounds in three weeks, not that I did not need to but I think there is a better way to lose weight.
Hopefully, the testing phase will be finished today and the treatment will start. I got to tell you, nothing would make me happier. We have three appointments scheduled for today, the Oncologist, a PET Scan, and Dr Wacks.
I have not been doing too many comments for the past weeks but I read all that are left on my blog and Muffin53. I would like to express my gratitude for all the kind words, prayers, and best wishes that were there. You cannot know how much you have lifted my spirits, bloggers are a special group of people, and you folks are the best.
THANKS, Charlie

CIA interrogations
Holy Crap, how far is our government willing to go to weaken a nation?
In a interview for Fox News Sunday VP Cheney said “CIA interrogators were justified in exceeding even the broad authorizations the Justice Department gave them to handle terrorist suspects.”
He called the new investigation ordered by Attorney General Eric Holder "very, very devastating" to morale at the CIA, noting that the cases of alleged abuse were reviewed several years ago by federal prosecutors, who chose not to proceed with cases.
What the Old Sarge thinks: High value detainees captured on the battle field will no longer be interrogated by the CIA (???) they will be questioned by the FBI……. Having seen a couple of battlefields in my lifetime and having seen the CIA operations on those battlefields I know they are some tough individuals who were willing to put themselves at risk to glean small bits of information that will save American lives. That is their business and they should be allowed to do it.
Central Intelligence Agency vs Federal Bureau of Investigation, one agency designed and organized to collect Intelligence and another designed and organized to collect information of criminals. Of all the bone headed ideas these folks have come up with, this one will cause people to die.

Better and Better
Holy crap, what a day. To start with I have been having problems sleeping for the past day or so, nerves I suppose but I am ready to crash now.
Pathology report still inconclusive but they are running additional test and should have results by Monday/Tuesday. In the meantime Doctor “Great Balls of Fire” did a blood test to get a “Marker” for Colon Cancer and the results were normal, (no colon cancer). If I had to have bad news today, that part was great.
Visited surgeon, he in consolation with my doctor have concluded that I have Lymphoma (type unknown at this time), in any event I have a mass about the size of a baseball which has attached to the colon. The bottom line is no surgery expected at this time, will have to do some Chemo with the expectation that the tumor will melt away.
Now have an appointment with Oconologist on Monday and after that a PET Scan to produce a target for possible needle biospy. In any case I expect treatment to start next week.
The bad news is it is cancer, the good news is it is not colon cancer.

Latest news

My new Doc

Miss Bee called his office while we were on our way home from the butt-o-scope test, we dropped off the copy of the results we were given, by the time we got home, 10 minutes at the most he was on the phone, wanting to see me now.
While we were in the office he pulled some strings with a local Hospital and arranged a CT Scan at 2:30 yesterday afternoon.
This morning we are expecting results for the biospy and CT Scan but in the meantime he has me scheduled to see a surgeon tomorrow.
And then this little short, fat, bald guy had the nerve to tell me I was overweight and when he got my present day problem solved he would be working on that problem. I wanted to know if I would have to eat every meal with him, we had a good laugh.

I have often been told that when you have a need in your life for the right person, open the door and he will be there. I am convinced that Miss Bee opened that door and he appeared.

Something's just suck
Yep, the old sarge is sick, I had a joyous day with tubes stuck down my throat and another one up the old backside. Topside went ok but not so good on the bottom. They found a large mass in my colon, and Miss Bee took me to her doctor, just said shut up, I have decided.
It turns out that she was correct, while we would have been waiting on a CT Scan and a call from the Doctor, I had a CT Scan today at 2:30PM, will speak with new doctor (Ball of Fire) tomorrow and he has arranged for a surgeon appointment Friday.
There was a biopsy done during the procedure, expect results tomorrow, the doctor told me it was highly suspicious. My new Doctor got a copy of the report and only said “that’s ugly”.
I will always be thankful for Miss Bee and her determination to put my health care in the hands of Doctor Wacks, I have every confidence that in the end, all will be good.

Who Elected Maxine Waters????????????
"Not only are we going to do everything we can to organize and put pressure on the senators -- some of whom are Neanderthals -- we're going to say to the president, 'We want you to use every weapon in your basket in order to get those senators to do what they should be doing,' " Waters said.
Waters was included by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington ("CREW") among its 2005 list of the thirteen "Most Corrupt Members of Congress" list[19] and on the 2006 list[20] for "her exercise of this power to financially benefit her daughter, husband and son."
During the Los Angeles riots of 1992, Waters appeared on television as a commentator. Waters said "If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion."
Waters arranged meetings with U.S. Treasury Department officials (in September, 2008) for OneUnited Bank to plead for federal cash. It had been heavily invested in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and its capital was "all but wiped out" after the U.S. government took them over. Her husband is a stockholder (more than $250,000 as of May 2008) and former director of the bank. The bank's executives were major contributors to her campaigns.
Citizens Against Government Waste named her the June 2009 Porker of the Month due to her intention to obtain an earmark for the Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center.
WHAT THE OLD SARGE THINKS: It is inconceivable to me that anyone would cast a vote to put this person in congress. Can someone make me understand why she is an elected official, America, it is time to clean house.

Profound words from a mental midget
Matt-Man said... Don't feel badly for me Retirementman...My definition of a moron is someone who doesn't think for them self. This entire post for the most part has been lifted from Sean Hannity and others.
And, without noting the author; I find that kinda crappy.
SARGE CHARLIE RESPONDS: None of the words I used were from Sean Hannity, my post used some of the words Jim Towey president of Saint Vincent College, was director of the White House Office of Faith-Based Initiatives (2002-2006) and founder of the nonprofit Aging with Dignity. I agree I should have referenced him, sorry, unintentional.
I hope you watched Fox News Sunday, Mr. Towey was there and explained in detail the VA “Death Book.”
He was followed by VA Assistant Secretary Tammy Duckworth--who insisted on being interviewed separately. She said the workbook is just one of many reference tools the VA makes available--and that it is currently being revised.
Ms Duckworth was obviously uninformed and untruthful in her comments, I project that the Obama Administration will throw her in the scrap heap under the bus within the next few days.
And by the way, PRH, you shouldn't assume, I was a Hillary backer and not an Obama guy. I like him, but I have never been a Obama guy. But if that thought fits your world, have at it.
I'll tell you Charlie, you have some great readers. They are about as sharp as the leading edge of a rolling ball bearing.
I dig going back and forth with you, but this monocular view of what is right and wrong is sad instead of being funny banter.
I apologize, in a sense, for calling you a moron, although I nearly always think you are wrong. I should have put that moron moniker on to the majority of your readers.
Cheers!!
SARGE CHARLIE: Trust me on this one Matt, you are almost always wrong, but I have no need to insult you or the readers, please feel free to comment, insult me if you must, but my readers should not be subjected to your insults.
How do you feel being on the wrong side of history, you and your party made a huge mistake last November, 7 months into his presidency your guy has shown that he is not up to the job. Time will prove him to be more of a failure than Jimmy Carter, “YES YOU DID.”

Matt Man thinks the Old Sarge is a moron
Matt-Man said... There are no Death Panels in any legislation, moron. Cheers!!
August 21, 2009 7:24 AM
SARGE CHARLIE SAYS: By executive order President Obama reinstated a 52 Page End of Life Counseling for Veterans. The program had been discontinued by President George W Bush.
"Your Life, Your Choices" presents end-of-life choices in a way aimed at steering users toward predetermined conclusions, much like a political "push poll." For example, a worksheet on page 21 lists various scenarios and asks users to then decide whether their own life would be "not worth living."
The circumstances listed include ones common among the elderly and disabled: living in a nursing home, being in a wheelchair and not being able to "shake the blues." There is a section which provocatively asks, "Have you ever heard anyone say, 'If I'm a vegetable, pull the plug'?" There also are guilt-inducing scenarios such as "I can no longer contribute to my family's well being," "I am a severe financial burden on my family" and that the vet's situation "causes severe emotional burden for my family."
When the government can steer vulnerable individuals to conclude for themselves that life is not worth living, who needs a death panel?
One can only imagine a soldier surviving the war in Iraq and returning without all of his limbs only to encounter a veteran's health-care system that seems intent on his surrender.
This hurry-up-and-die message is clear and unconscionable. Worse, a July 2009 VA directive instructs its primary care physicians to raise advance care planning with all VA patients and to refer them to "Your Life, Your Choices." Not just those of advanced age and debilitated condition—all patients. America's 24 million veterans deserve better.
Now the government looks to set up the same end of life counseling in HR3200, and Obama seems quite content to lie about it, despite the government’s track record at the VA. If you want to know what end of life counseling is, there is not a better example than the VA Hospital. It costs money to keep you alive—let’s promote death to veterans who have given so much. What a government!
You can say it ain’t so over and over Mr Matt Man, keep it up, it makes you look like a MORON.

I am my brother's keeper........
“These are all fabrications that have been put out there in order to discourage people from meeting what I consider to be a core ethical and moral obligation: that is, that we look out for one another; that is, I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sister’s keeper. And in the wealthiest nation in the world right now we are neglecting to live up to that call.” Thursday, August 20, 2009
The only rules for democrats is there are no rules………….
During the time Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts, Senator John Kerry ran for President and looked at times that he might win. The state legislature, egged on by Kerry’s Senate partner Ted Kennedy, changed the law regarding the selection of a replacement Senator to require a state election, keeping Romney from the possibility of appointing a Republican in Kerry’s place. Now that Ted Kennedy is perhaps too ill to continue, Kennedy now wants the law changed back, since there’s a Democrat in the governor’s chair.
Ailing Sen Kennedy Urges Seat Be Filled Quickly
Cancer-stricken Sen Edward M. Kennedy has written a poignant letter to Massachusetts leaders asking that they change state law to allow a speedy replacement of him in Congress.
What the Old Sarge Thinks: This crap will never pass the smell test, Ted pushed for a change in state law which would require a special election within 5 months, now he wants his seat filled quickly since the Governor is a Democrat. This is the American way I suppose, if you don’t like the law just change it. This stinks.

UPDATE FROM THE OLD SARGE
SICK SUCKS
One thing that the Old Sarge does not do well is sick. I am presently extremely anemic, this is the first time I have had the energy to open my computer for days.
I have been sleeping a lot in between doctor appointments. As you folks know I have been getting my healthcare at the VA Hospital in West Palm Beach. I will tell you it is a wonderful facility but their patient population has doubled since I started there in 2001.
Would you like to discuss Government run health care on a personal basis. My primary care doctor is a wonderful doctor and I get spend 20 minutes with her each quarter, 80 minutes per year because of her work load. I do not know if that is rationing of health care, you decide.
If I have a complaint or problem on my visit she is fast to act and provides the best care possible it the time frame she has to work with, Usually with another prescription drug. Be aware she has two more veterans to see in the hour.
Recently when my problem started with my knees, I was given another prescription for pain. Because of the work load at the VA and at the encouragement of Miss Bee and daughter #1 I made the decision to have my knee replacement outside the VA.
I selected the Cleveland Clinic because the doctor that gave me my pain prescription said they were the best.
I started my process with Cleveland Clinic and was very impressed with the difference in the treatment of patients, 1-2 minute waiting time, prompt service by labs, in general the treatment was far superior to what I was accustomed to.
When my lab work was completed my anemic condition was detected. I have been on a Iron Supplement from the VA for years which had maintained my anemia in an acceptable range, but when reviewing all of my medications, it turned out that several of the medications I take on a daily basis caused anemia as a side effect. The finial prescription, the pain medication, side effect, extreme anemia, this one put me over the hump and brought me to my knees.
I would like each of you to consider my experience with Government Run healthcare, is that what you want for your family.
I am lucky, I have a choice, as a result of my 26 years service in the military I have Tricare for life and Medicare cause I am old. I have the choice and I am choosing to opt out of Government Operated Healthcare, for as long as I can.

What do you know about Camaraderie…..
I wanted to talk about comradeship. The feeling of social being-ness with fellow servicemen. The creating of bonds that will endure for a lifetime.
I like what they are doing today, during my time, the soldier came down on orders for one year in country, and then home. In today’s war the people are moving as a complete unit, they train together, they are deployed together. There will always be a new guy who joins the unit as a replacement when someone leaves the unit.
Recently I saw a few photos of a new guy joining a his unit as it trains for deployment. The welcoming ceremony is something that the new guy will remember until another new guy comes along and the tables are turned.
I give him full credit for standing and taking it like the man I know he is, fear not “NEW GUY” that will not be your call sign forever………
Hey dude, are you wet behind the ears? One thing for sure you have been wet down.
Yes “NEW GUY”, you got to belt that down and I sure hope you don’t hurl if you want to be a Wizard.
And just as reliable as the setting sun, Mrs “NEW GUY” was there to drive him home.

I can talk about seniors, I are one….
We believe that health care and financial security are the most pressing domestic issues facing our nation.
In my travels through the blogosphere I came across Divided we fail.org., promoted on their banner are the organizations you see. It became immediately obvious to the Old Sarge why I turned in my AARP card years ago, just seeing their logo next to SEIU lets me know it has been a long time since they spoke for me.
In a mass mailing Addison Barry Rand, CEO of AARP, requesting special funds to lobby for Health Care Reform. His letter covers many issues, some that benefit AARPs constituency, older Americans, while others actually work against our group interests.
Did anyone ask Mr Rand why he thinks tens of thousands are turning in their AARP Card? I can tell you Mr Rand, you do not speak for them.
Make sure the people who represent you in Washington, D.C. know that if health care isn't affordable for ordinary working people, the health care system isn't working. Click here for a leaflet.
How to Speak Out:
1. Call your Senators and Representative at 1-800-603-SEIU (7348).
2. Do you know a family member or neighbor who has struggled to get quality, affordable health care? Tell their story. Or talk about concerns you have about the rising cost of health care.
3. Explain that health care won't be fixed until it's affordable for every worker in our community.
Even my friend Matt Man will have to agree, these union thugs have a lot of experience at being lap-dogs to the Democratic party.
Health Care Reform in America: A Business Roundtable Plan
Business Roundtable members provide coverage to more than 35 million employees
and their families and are deeply committed to public policy changes that will
improve our national health care system. To further this urgent priority, Business
Roundtable has developed a health care plan aimed at creating a more competitive
private health insurance marketplace while maintaining a strong, stable public safety
net. This plan contains four elements to meet these goals.
“At the end of the day, NFIB and small business owners want health care reform that is going to make things better than the status quo. If it’s going to make it worse than the status quo, we’re not going to support it,” says Dimarob. “This bill is going to make it worse than the status quo.” A more business-friendly bill may emerge from the Senate Finance Committee, though it may not happen until after lawmakers take their August vacations.
Well it is now obvious to me that DividedweFail.Org is divided.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says President Obama's plan to overhaul health care is evil.
The former Republican vice presidential candidate posted her thoughts Friday on Face book.
Palin says in the America she knows, people won't have to "stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care."
She says such a system is "downright evil."
Sarah is my kind of person, in your face………….
I mean, the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health care bill out here.
So how do you — how do we deal with it?
THE PRESIDENT: ...you have to have some independent group that can give you guidance. It’s not determinative, but I think has to be able to give you some guidance. And that’s part of what I suspect you’ll see emerging out of the various health care conversations that are taking place on the Hill right now.
(what the hell did he say?)
Here we are folks, Sarge Charlie and the Empress Bee. In case you are wondering, we have lived a few decades, the past 43 years together. Now if the Empress were facing some life threatening illness, I find it hard to believe that the old Sarge could be restrained while someone calculated the value of her remaining years or even days. The President thinks it should be faceless bureaucrats in Washington -- not your family -- who will decide whether your grandparents live or die.
Mr. President, where do you find it in the constitution the clause on euthanasia, where is the part that authorizes you to limit “Health Care” to the old, just have them take a pain pill?
Do not speak fishy about me…..
Subject: YOUR HEALTH CARE PLAN SUCKS
This is to inform you that their is nothing about the stupid health care plan that makes any sense, please add me to your enemies list.....

American
The truth is I did not want to miss out on an opportunity to report my self to flag@whitehouse.gov. Mr Obama should have checked the federal law, gathering information on American Citizens has been illegal since the Nixon years. Oh well, nice that I can compare the Obama years to the Nixon Years.

How do you spell Hypocrite
Chris Matthews, on Tuesday's Hardball, invited on California Senator Barbara Boxer to dismiss the increasing number of town hall protestors opposed to Obama's liberal agenda as the "angry, and "noisy," "well-dressed middle-class people in pinks and limes...Brooks Brothers Brigade."
Pelosi: we call call it Astroturf, it's not really a grassroots movement. It's Astroturf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich instead of for the great middle class.
DNC goes nuclear: Mobs of right-wing extremists are attacking our health-care town halls!
Democrats Send SEIU Thugs To Townhall Meeting, One Senior Couple Roughed Up By Union Goons
For sever days now the Dems have been whining because Americans were exercising their right of free speech well now they show us how to organize a town hall meeting in Tampa, Fl. They stacked the room with SEIU members, they went one step farther, they were allowed early access so they could control the room. One senior citizen was slammed against the wall by the union thugs.

200 Million Dollars………..
It is apparent the Nancy Pelosi is not presently traveling in style. In the wake of the crap the rubbed in the face of Automobile company CEO’S for traveling in private jets to the hearings in Washington, the very elite Nancy Pelosi has ordered three of these jets for use by Washington Elites. Taxpayers will pay $200,000,000 for these little perks. It seems that attending the “Town Hall Meetings” is just too stressful and the congressmen need some way to relax while traveling to visit the Astroturf, not the grass roots. Thanks Nancy, you make it so easy to despise you.
Some folks are just nice
MY TREE HUGGER FRIEND Go listen to the music
I love this music!! love it, always have.
this one made me think of Ol' Sarge's posts about his childhood, and his feelings about the economy. Well Sarge... this posts for you!
THANKS JOANN, THAT WAS NICE, YOU TOOK ME BACK HOME THIS MORNING......
